The Media Sectors I would wish to be employed in is Film and Games. The reason why because in Film, it’s like art, you express your skills and your imagination. You can test out your story telling skills to the audience and make them interested, I personally loved some films in my younger years and I have a taste in film that have video game adaptations or fan made projects, I have a skill for making 3D animations. As for Games, I have experience with modding existing games that have workshop support, I use Steam as my main platform since I have a very powerful gaming pc. I never developed a stand alone game but I make maps for the gaming community etc.

Film can be specialised in anything, long or short films, documentaries and shows etc. Films in general are a message in a way depending how you interpret on how you watch. Games are self-explanatory, many developers have different skills depending on what type of development they specialise in such as coding, animations, map designing and story design etc.

The working patterns of Film and Games is similar because at some point they have to crunch for investors and shareholders or tied by a parent company that creates a locked timeframe. Sometimes you have to do overtime work and make new projects, and scrap the projects your work on.

Advancement of technology created hobbies into jobs such as gaming, variant film sectors etc. This created a large open market and job void for people to fill in, many older professions might die to replace something better. This might benefit me because many ways because the things I did was considered “useless” and “not a job” became valuable skills.
